What’s Happening at EARS
At EARS – Endangered Animal Rescue Sanctuary, there’s always something to celebrate, share, or invite our supporters to join. From special animal-themed days to community events like our car shows, each occasion is an opportunity to raise awareness, connect with visitors, and help fund the ongoing care of our residents.
Whether you’re planning your first visit or you’ve been part of the EARS family for years, this page will keep you up to date on what’s happening here at the sanctuary.
As well as private dinners poolside with the tiger Maximus, where you will be treated to a chef prepared meal and a few hours watching Maximus do his thing up close while learning about EARS and all wildlife we have. This is an experience you will not soon forget. Call Sue for more information 352-266-2859 as these dinners are booked well in advance.

Public Tour Day

We open to the public only once per month, on the first Saturday at 10:00 a.m..
Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. so we can check you in and start promptly. Tours are guided and educational, taking you through the sanctuary to meet our residents and hear their rescue stories.

Every Event Makes a Difference
When you attend an event, share our updates, or contribute in any way, you’re helping us provide the highest quality of life for the animals who depend on us. Every dollar raised goes toward food, veterinary care, habitat maintenance, and enrichment for our residents.
From the roar of a lion on World Lion Day to the quiet joy of a bear enjoying a watermelon on tour morning, each moment at EARS is made possible by our incredible community of supporters.
Join us at our next event — and be part of the story that gives rescued animals a second chance at life.
